A Northlake woman sued McDonald’s in Cook County Circuit Court alleging that her daughter was seriously burned in 2009 when a hot chocolate she ordered from the fast-food giant spilled and seriously burned her leg.

Vicki LaRocco bought the hot chocolate for her daughter on April 28, 2009, at a McDonald’s drive-through window in Schiller Park, according to the lawsuit. Shouldn’t the mother be investigated for abuse to the child for not insuring the cup was OK? Why would a mother give a kid a hot drink in a car anyway?

Hi, my name is one more inept American looking for a free ride. So I will sue a big corporation because the PC Police have taught us all we really need is a “good” lawyer so we can sue our way rich at the cost of all others, instead of actually taking responsibility for our own actions. Maybe Mommy needs to take a class on how to pay the hell attention. These are generally teenagers or others that have never held much more than a minimum wage position in their life that are serving us out these windows. Not always the most forward thinking folks in the world. Would it have killed you to take two seconds to check your order and make certain that things are secure before trying to pass things off. I mean there is a famous quote in a popular Movie that most of us have seen you may have head the line from Lethal Weapon as so classically delivered by Joe Pesci, “I knew it, they F@#k you in the Drive thru, they know you will be a mile down the road before you check anything”

    Signed
