said Wednesday its board had elected John McCartney to become its
non-executive chairman, subject to his re-election to the board at the
May 3 annual shareholders meeting.
McCartney had served as an independent director and chairman of its
audit committee.
George Massaro, the current non-executive chairman, served as chief operating officer from 2003 to 2005. Massaro became non-executive chairman last July when Huron had to restate its financial statements for 2006, 2007, 2008 and the first quarter of 2009.
Massaro agreed to assist the new management team.
Huron shares rose 52 cents, or 2.4 percent, to $22.25 in after-hours trading, after falling 52 cents to close at $21.73 in the regular session.
