Police say a man who was fired from a warehouse that handles shipments for Toys “R” Us returned and fatally shot a co-worker. Police Chief Ralph Portier says in a statement that Donald Damron died at a hospital after the shooting late Thursday in Groveport, a Columbus suburb.

Witnesses told police that Damron was shot in the warehouse parking lot while arguing with 18-year-old Eric Hamilton during a shift change. The warehouse was locked down while police searched for the suspect.

Portier said Friday that Hamilton has been charged with murder.

Cpl. Nathaniel Sheppard with the Franklin County Sheriff’s office says Hamilton had been fired from the warehouse earlier on Thursday.

It’s not clear whether he has an attorney.
