Discount carrier JetBlue Airways said Wednesday that it extended the employment agreement of President and Chief Executive Dave Barger by two years to 2015.

Barger joined JetBlue in 1998, before the carrier was named, and succeeded company founder David Neeleman as CEO in 2008. Before the extension, his job agreement was scheduled to end in February 2013.

New York-based JetBlue serves 63 cites with more than 600 daily flights.
