A Chicago-based law firm specializing in labor, employment and insurance issues has expanded to San Francisco by hiring 11 attorneys in the Bay Area.

With the new additions, Meckler Bulger Tilson Marick & Pearson has more than 100 lawyers in four U.S. offices.

The firm has had a labor practice in California but decided it was time to have a physical presence on the West Coast for the first time to meet demand from clients, Bruce Meckler, co-chair, said in a statement.
