Authorities say a flash fire at a southwestern Illinois ethanol plant has injured at least two people.

Madison Police Chief Steven Shelby says he doesn’t immediately know the extent of injuries related to the accident about 9 a.m. Monday at Abengoa Bioenergy of Illinois.

The plant is the site of an old Army depot.

It’s not clear what caused the blaze.
