American Transmission Co. wants to build a $20 million power line from Pleasant Prairie and Zion, Ill.

It would be the ATC’s fifth high-voltage line between Wisconsin and Illinois. The line would be nearly 6 miles long. It’s a revised plan and less than the $45 million project the company proposed last year. The line is shorter and it doesn’t include a substation.

The Journal Sentinel says the project is part of ATC’s $3.4 billion, 10-year spending plan.
