Six Flags Great America in Gurnee said it is planning to hire 3,200 seasonal workers this year for positions that can last up to six months.

The amusement park said it needs to fill open spots in areas such as guest relations, retail, security and landscaping. It is holding a series of job fairs starting this Saturday and going through May, with a special event on March 5 for candidates seeking management positions.

Great America’s announcement comes after Atlanta-based retailer Home Depot said earlier this week it will be hiring 2,000 spring seasonal workers for its roughly 60 stores in Chicago and the suburbs.
