The Professional Beauty Association is launching an annual trade show for the Midwest region in Rosemont this spring, hoping to attract more than 20,000 attendees in the spa and salon industries.
The PBA said it is North America’s largest association of professionals in the salon, spa and beauty industries.
In a press release, the group said it has held an annual show in Long Beach, Calif., for 11 years and decided to add an event in the Chicago area “as a result of overwhelming requests from salon/spa professionals and leading beauty manufacturers” in the Midwest. The region has 202,000 beauty salons that employ 122,465, the association said.
The PBA’s International Salon & Spa Expo will be held at the Donald E. Stephens Convention in Rosemont from March 26 to 28.
