The Illinois Department of Insurance is planning the fourth in a series of web-based seminars on health insurance exchanges.

The nation’s new health care law requires the exchanges to be running in states by 2014. Individuals and small businesses would be able to shop for health coverage through the exchange.

The next seminar is planned for Thursday at 2 p.m.

It will take place online at insurance.illinois.gov/webinars.

Questions may be submitted during the 45-minute webinar by sending an e-mail to DOI.Webinars@illinois.gov.

The written presentation and an audio recording will be available on the Insurance Department’s website for people unable to participate.
