Navistar gets $123M order for Marines vehicles

Navistar International Corp. said Friday that it has received a $123 million order from the U.S. Marine Corps Systems Command to deliver 175 armored International MaxxPro Dash vehicles.

The company, based in Warrenville, Ill., said the order also includes parts for the Mine Resistant Ambush Protected vehicles.

Navistar received a separate order last month for MaxxPro Recovery vehicles. Since 2007, the company has received contracts to produce more than 8,000 of the vehicles.

Navistar is a holding company whose units produce commercial and military trucks, busses and diesel engines. Its Navistar Defense LLC subsidiary received the order from the Marine Corps.

Navistar shares rose 15 cents to $58.25 Friday.
