JW Marriott hotel to open in Burnham’s bank building

JW Marriott will open its first branded hotel in Chicago Nov. 11, a 610-room facility in Daniel Burnham’s Continental & Commercial National Bank Building in the Loop. 

The hotel will occupy the first 12 floors of the  building at 151 W. Adams St.,  part of a $396 million restoration by architectural firm Lucien Lagrange & Associates. The revamp also includes a VALEO fitness center and spa, and The Florentine, an Italian steakhouse.

Room rates will run from  $179 to  $329.
