MB Financial, the Chicago-based middle-market bank whose earnings have come up short recently and which has expressed pessimism about the economy, is shaking up its leadership ranks, including in its commercial banking arm, the Tribune has learned.
Tom Panos will leave his job as head of commercial banking, president of MB Financial Bank, and a board member.
MB Financial Chief Executive Mitch Feiger will take over the president’s job.
Panos will remain an MB worker and adviser to the bank through March 31.
Brian Wildman, executive vice president of wealth management, will add commercial services to his job.
