Unitrin Inc. said Friday that Chief Financial Officer Eric Draut would exit the company and resign from its board of directors to pursue other opportunities.
Draut’s resignation takes effect Sept. 3. The Chicago-based insurance holding company said Richard Roeske, a company vice president and chief accounting officer, will serve as CFO on an interim basis until the company taps a permanent replacement.
Draut has been part of Unitrin’s executive leadership team since its spin-off from Teledyne in 1990, and he previously served as controller and treasurer. AS CFO for the past 13 years, he led the spin-off of Curtiss-Wright Corp. to Unitrin shareholders, the sale of Unitrin’s holdings in Litton Industries Inc. to Northrop Grumman Corp. and other acquisitions and divestitures.
