CME Group’s profit jumps 22%

CME Group Inc.’s second-quarter earnings rose 22 percent, and adjusted results topped analysts’ forecasts, as the world’s biggest operator of derivatives exchanges again benefited from increased volume.

Net income was $271 million, or $4.11 per share, up from $222 million, or $3.33 a share, a year earlier.
