Associated Press | Spirit Airlines says it will work with other
air carriers to keep flying if its pilots go on strike Saturday.

Spirit spokeswoman Misty Pinson says the airline is partnering with
other carriers. She declined to provide details or to say how much of
its schedule it will maintain in a strike.

Spirit is negotiating a new contract with its pilots. They have said they will walk out at 12:01 a.m. Saturday if there’s no deal.

Spirit is a small, privately held carrier based in Miramar, Fla., that does much of its flying from the Eastern U.S. to the Caribbean.
