Dow Jones Newswires | Chicago-based PrivateBancorp Inc. has put its
private-banking chief, Kristine Garrett, in charge of all of its
wealth-management and private banking operations.
She takes over supervision of the Privatebank’s Private Wealth Group from Gary Collins, who left PrivateBancorp late last year.

She reports to Bruce Lubin, who oversees the Privatebank’s commercial, specialty and wealth-management groups.

Garrett joined the PrivateBank in 2009 from J.P. Morgan Chase, where she was sales manager for private-client credit and deposit products.

In her new role, Garrett is responsible for private banking, trust, custody and investment-management services, including oversight of PrivateBank’s Lodestar LLC subsidiary. She will lead teams providing all aspects of business development and delivery for the PrivateBank’s wealth-management products and services.

“Kris has shown tremendous leadership in ensuring we are capitalizing on all opportunities to deliver our strong wealth management and private banking services to new clients or by expanding the relationships with existing clients,” said Larry Richman, president and chief of PrivateBancorp Inc. “As we continue to focus on deepening our client relationships, she will work with her colleagues in our other business segments to offer our clients access to the broad range of services under The PrivateBank umbrella.”

The subsidiaries of PrivateBancorp, a holding company, deliver financial services to business owners, executives, entrepreneurs, wealthy families and middle-market companies.
