Plainfield-based Spring-Green Lawn Care Corp. announced Tuesday that  it named Ted Hofer its chief executive.

Hofer, 35, will replace his father, Tom Hofer, who will remain the company’s chairman.  Ted Hofer joined the company in 2005.Under the new leadership, the company expects to add 10 franchises this year. It now has more than 79 in 26 states.

Spring-Green Lawn Care said its 2009 revenue was slightly over $32 million, about the same as 2008.
