Let this be a lesson to the young ladies hard at work in school studying for a career:
it is a far better investment to marry a rich and influential man, even if he is a four-eyed, doofus looking nerd like John Rogers, than all the book learning you will get in school.
How a woman goes from running gift shops in musuems stores to jobs that were way over her head (Peoples Gas, Lottery, Allstate, White House) only verifies what many a young girl’s mother has told them about the value of their “pocketbooks” (and not the one that is worn over the shoulder).
Ladies, you all are sitting on a gold-mine. You just got to make it work for you.
Dez has screwed up every job she has, but her “pedigree” has enabled semi soft landings. However the White House screw-up was costly. Hard to believe that this is the best job she could get (Consulting for a dying magazine nearing bankruptcy) having the White House on her resume.
At least Dad is still able to pay for the the daughter’s Princeton tuition.
