Reuters | Kraft Foods increased the list price of some Maxwell House and Yuban roast and ground coffee by about 4 percent, effective Friday, a company spokeswoman said in an email to Reuters.
“The increase is due to sustained increases in arabica coffee, as well as crude oil and other costs,” Kraft spokeswoman Bridget MacConnell told Reuters.
The price increase is 10 cents per pound equivalent. For Maxwell House, this raises a one-pound equivalent can to $2,71, from $2,61, and for Yuban it is now $2.99, from the previous $2,89.
The price hike does not include Maxwell House 100 percent Colombian, Wake Up Roast, Singles, Filter Packs, or any instant coffees, the company said.
