Much of the reason for the big swing in profit has to do with the value of Berkshire’s investments and derivative contracts, some of which are tied to equity indexes.
Berkshire recorded a largely unrealized $787 million gain in investments in 2009 instead of the $7.5 billion loss it recorded in 2008.
The real truth about Buffett is he is linked to an upper criminal element within the Federal Governement that includes the big Banks and other Corporations. Being who he is, he relies on his link to inform him of pending plans even though they are far off, he spends times researching for the best opportunity that when made WON’T bring that much attention on to him afterwards. Often people remark about the Shadow Government, this is the link. How I know is because I was in a family for more than 26 years who are directly involved with supporting the Shadow Government’s plans and I know from them that Buffett is uniquely involved.

Marty, do you know how wacky that sounds? Unless you have independently verifiable proof of such an extraordinary claim, such a statement could be considered libel.
